PENGARUH NILAI BUDAYA TERHADAP PERILAKU KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT SUKU ASMAT: LITERATURE REVIEW

Pendekatan budaya memainkan peran penting dalam membentuk perilaku kesehatan masyarakat suku Asmat di Papua. Kepercayaan terhadap kekuatan spiritual, leluhur, dan praktik adat menjadi faktor utama yang memengaruhi cara masyarakat memahami dan merespons masalah kesehatan, seringkali bertentangan dengan pendekatan medis modern. Tujuan studi ini adalah mengidentifikasi pengaruh nilai budaya terhadap perilaku kesehatan dan mengevaluasi strategi untuk meningkatkan penerimaan layanan kesehatan di komunitas adat tersebut. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah literature review sistematis dan analisis tematik kualitatif terhadap artikel yang dipublikasikan dalam rentang waktu 2014–2024 dari basis data Google Scholar dan ScienceDirect. Data dari 10 artikel yang memenuhi kriteria inklusi dianalisis untuk mengidentifikasi hubungan antara budaya tradisional dan praksis kesehatan, serta peran tokoh adat dalam intervensi kesehatan. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa kepercayaan budaya dan praktik spiritual sering menjadi hambatan utama dalam implementasi layanan kesehatan modern, sehingga keterlibatan tokoh adat dan integrasi nilai budaya dalam program kesehatan terbukti meningkatkan penerimaan dan keberhasilan intervensi. Diskusi menegaskan bahwa pemahaman mendalam terhadap nilai-nilai budaya lokal dan kolaborasi dengan tokoh adat sangat penting untuk merancang program yang kontekstual, berkelanjutan, dan mampu memperkuat partisipasi masyarakat. Penelitian ini memberi rekomendasi agar aspek budaya menjadi dasar dalam pengembangan strategi kesehatan masyarakat suku Asmat, agar layanan kesehatan dapat lebih efektif dan diterima secara lokal.References
