HUBUNGAN BULLYING DAN SELF-ESTEEM REMAJA DI SMA NEGERI 1 SUNGAI GERINGGING

Bullying merupakan salah satu bentuk kekerasan yang marak terjadi di lingkungan sekolah dan dapat memberikan dampak serius terhadap perkembangan psikologis remaja. Salah satu dampak penting dari bullying adalah penurunan self-esteem, yaitu penilaian individu terhadap nilai, kemampuan, dan penghargaan terhadap dirinya sendiri. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara kejadian bullying dengan tingkat self-esteem pada siswa SMA Negeri 1 Sungai Geringging, Kabupaten Padang Pariaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain deskriptif analitik dengan pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah sampel sebanyak 172 siswa yang diambil menggunakan teknik proportional stratified random sampling. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner bullying dari Adolescent Peer Relations Instrument dan kuesioner self-esteem dari Aziz (2021), yang telah diuji validitas dan reliabilitasnya. Hasil analisis univariat menunjukkan bahwa 52,3% siswa mengalami bullying dan 52,3% siswa memiliki self-esteem rendah. Hasil analisis bivariat menggunakan uji Chi-square menunjukkan terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara kejadian bullying dengan tingkat self-esteem (p = 0,024), dengan nilai Odds Ratio (OR) sebesar 2,110. Hal ini berarti bahwa siswa yang mengalami bullying memiliki risiko lebih dari dua kali lipat untuk memiliki self-esteem rendah dibandingkan yang tidak mengalami bullying. Penelitian ini menegaskan pentingnya peran sekolah dalam upaya preventif dan intervensi, seperti penyediaan layanan konseling, program anti-bullying, dan edukasi kepada siswa, untuk menciptakan lingkungan belajar yang aman dan mendukung perkembangan psikologis remaja.References
