Patients with appendicitis will have their appendix surgically removed. Appendicitis can cause discomfort in the postoperative period. Postoperative pain that does not go away makes daily life and activities uncomfortable. Non-pharmacological pain relief methods include finger-clasp relaxation and dhikr. Deep breath relaxation can come before finger-grip relaxation, which can then be paired with dhikr. This can produce a sense of comfort, relaxation, and physical and spiritual avoidance of stress and tension, all of which can induce pain. Meanwhile, those who practice dhikr will feel calmer and more relaxed. Dhikr will regulate serotonin and norepinephrine levels in the brain, resulting in a sensation of tranquility in the heart and mind. Methods: This study used a case study technique with a descriptive design. The study included three postoperative appendicitis patients with a moderate pain scale (4-6). Results: In postoperative appendicitis patients, applying finger-grip relaxation and dhikr for three days with a duration of 10-20 minutes effectively reduces pain from moderate (6) to mild (1). This difference can be detected by comparing the pain scale before and after practicing finger-grip relaxation with dhikr.
