LITERATUR REVIEW : PERAN DUKUNGAN SOSIAL DALAM MENINGKATKAN HARGA DIRI PASIEN KANKER

Pasien kanker sering mengalami tekanan psikologis yang kompleks akibat perubahan fisik, sosial, dan emosional selama proses diagnosis dan pengobatan. Salah satu dampak yang sering muncul adalah penurunan harga diri, yang dapat memperburuk kualitas hidup pasien secara menyeluruh. Dalam konteks ini, dukungan sosial menjadi faktor protektif penting yang mampu memperkuat ketahanan psikologis dan meningkatkan harga diri pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk meninjau secara sistematis literatur terkait peran dukungan sosial dalam meningkatkan harga diri pasien kanker. Metode yang digunakan adalah tinjauan literatur dengan pencarian artikel melalui basis data PubMed, ScienceDirect, dan Google Scholar selama periode 2020 – 2025. Kata kunci yang digunakan mencakup “social support”, “self-esteem”, dan “cancer patients”. Dari total 45 artikel yang ditemukan, sebanyak 8 artikel memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan dianalisis menggunakan pendekatan sintesis naratif. Hasil tinjauan menunjukkan bahwa dukungan sosial dari keluarga, teman, tenaga kesehatan, serta komunitas memiliki kontribusi signifikan terhadap peningkatan harga diri pasien. Bentuk dukungan meliputi aspek emosional, informatif, instrumental, dan penghargaan. Pasien dengan tingkat dukungan sosial tinggi menunjukkan kemampuan koping yang lebih baik, citra diri yang positif, dan motivasi yang lebih besar untuk menjalani pengobatan. Simpulan dari kajian ini menegaskan bahwa intervensi berbasis dukungan sosial perlu menjadi bagian integral dari praktik keperawatan guna meningkatkan kesejahteraan psikologis dan kualitas hidup pasien kanker.References
