Abstract

Pola asuh anak merupakan fondasi penting dalam proses tumbuh kembang individu sejak usia dini, namun masih banyak calon orang tua yang belum memiliki pemahaman dan keterampilan yang memadai dalam pengasuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengeksplorasi persepsi, hambatan, harapan, dan kebutuhan calon orang tua dalam meningkatkan keterampilan pola asuh anak, khususnya dalam konteks bimbingan pranikah. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan deskriptif kualitatif dengan teknik purposive sampling. Sebanyak 10 calon pengantin, 2 penyuluh KUA, dan 1 kepala KUA di Kecamatan Banguntapan, Kabupaten Bantul, menjadi partisipan. Data dikumpulkan melalui wawancara semi-terstruktur dan dianalisis melalui tahapan reduksi, penyajian data, serta penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil: Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa hambatan utama yang dihadapi calon orang tua meliputi kurangnya pengetahuan tentang pola asuh, ketidaksiapan mental, dan keterbatasan waktu. Meskipun demikian, partisipan menunjukkan motivasi tinggi untuk belajar melalui pelatihan parenting yang mudah diakses, termasuk melalui media digital. Simpulan: program edukasi pola asuh yang berbasis kebutuhan, kontekstual, dan didukung oleh teknologi serta lingkungan sosial sangat penting untuk mempersiapkan calon orang tua dalam menjalankan peran pengasuhan secara positif dan efektif.
