PENGARUH INFEKSI MYCOBACTERIUM TUBERCULOSIS TERHADAP FUNGSI DAN STRUKTUR MUSKULOSKELETAL : LITERATUR REVIEW

Tuberculosis atau biasa disingkat TB, merupakan penyakit infeksi menular yang utamanya disebabkan oleh bakteri Mycobacterium tuberculosis. Infeksi tuberculosis utamanya menyerang paru-paru, tetapi tidak menutup kemungkinan bahwa infeksi mycobacterium ini dapat menyerang jaringan ekstra paru, salah satunya yaitu system musculoskeletal, dengan prevalensi yang bervariasi berdasarkan usia dan jenis kelamin. Tujuan literatur review ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kesadaran dan mendorong penelitian, sehingga kita dapat mencegah disabilitas dan meningkatkan kualitas hidup pasien, yang terkait dengan TB musculoskeletal. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian scoping review, dengan database Google Scholar, Pubmed, dan OpenAlex dengan rentang waktu 5 tahun dari tahun 2019-2024. Pencarian artikel menggunakan kata kunci tuberculosis, musculoskeletal, mycobacterium. Hasil penelitian didapatkan enam artikel penelitian yang relevan. Kesimpulan dari penelitian ini yaitu, Mycobacterium tuberculosis (MTB) memiliki dampak signifikan pada sistem muskuloskeletal, Infeksi ini terjadi ketika bakteri menyebar ke tulang melalui aliran darah yang berujung pada kerusakan jaringan tulang yang mengakibatkan pasien mengalami deformitas tulang dan komplikasi neurologis. Secara keseluruhan, infeksi Mycobacterium Tuberculosis pada sistem muskuloskeletal memerlukan perhatian serius karena potensi kerusakan yang dapat ditimbulkannya.References
