Abstract

Peningkatan Self Efficacy ibu postpartum bisa menumbuhkan sikap baik termasuk keinginan untuk memberi perawatan terbaik bagi bayinya. Jika MSE pada ibu hamil rendah, maka hal tersebut dapat menyebabkan ibu akan gagal dalam mencari keputusan yang tepat dan cenderung mengambil untuk menyerah, hal ini akan menyebabkan perasaan gagal dan menimbulkan kecemasan ataupun depresi saat menghadapi berbagai situasi yang dialaminya. Penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara maternal self efficacy dengan kejadian depresi postpartum di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kedungmundu Kota Semarang. Penelitian ini termasuk penelitian kuantitatif, desain deskriptif analitik disertai pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel yang digunakan 100 ibu nifas di Wilayah Kerja Puskesmas Kedungmundu Semarang. Instrument yang diterapkan ialah Edinburgh Postnatal Depression Scale (EPDS) beserta kuesioner seputar maternal self efficacy dan depresi postpartum. Uji korelasi yang diterapkan ialah uji spearman rho. Simpulan dari penelitian ini, terdapat korelasi signifikan antara maternal self efficacy dengan depresi postpartum.
