UPAYA MENINGKATKAN PENGETAHUAN KELUARGA TENTANG PENANGANAN EPISTAKSIS PADA KELUARGA DENGAN USIA SEKOLAH

Epistaksis (mimisan) merupakan kondisi perdarahan melalui rongga hidung yang umum terjadi pada populasi anak-anak. Meskipun jarang mengancam jiwa, kondisi ini sering menimbulkan kecemasan signifikan pada keluarga karena ketidaktahuan mengenai penanganan yang tepat. Penelitian ini bertujuan meningkatkan literasi kesehatan keluarga tentang manajemen epistaksis pada anak usia sekolah melalui intervensi edukasi terstruktur dan demonstrasi teknik non-farmakologis. Metode yang diimplementasikan adalah studi kasus deskriptif dengan pendekatan proses keperawatan sistematis meliputi pengkajian komprehensif, perumusan diagnosis, perencanaan intervensi, implementasi tindakan, dan evaluasi hasil. Penelitian dilaksanakan di Desa Purbayasa RT 01 RW 03 selama bulan Oktober 2024 dengan subjek keluarga Tn. K yang memiliki anak laki-laki berusia 11 tahun (An. R) dengan riwayat epistaksis berulang. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui wawancara terstruktur, observasi langsung, dan pengukuran pengetahuan pre-post intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan signifikan pada pemahaman keluarga mengenai etiologi, faktor risiko, dan penanganan awal epistaksis setelah mendapatkan edukasi dan demonstrasi teknik cuping hidung. Keterampilan keluarga dalam menerapkan teknik penekanan cuping hidung meningkat dari 70% menjadi 90% akurasi. Terdapat inisiasi modifikasi pola nutrisi dan hidrasi meskipun implementasi perubahan gaya hidup masih memerlukan dukungan berkelanjutan. Kesimpulan penelitian menekankan efektivitas pendekatan edukasi berbasis keluarga dalam meningkatkan kapasitas penanganan epistaksis, mengurangi kecemasan, dan mencegah komplikasi pada anak usia sekolah dengan riwayat mimisan berulang.References
