PENGARUH PEMBERIAN EKSTRAK DAUN CENGKEH (SYZYGIUM AROMATICUM) TERHADAP GAMBARAN HISTOPATOLOGIK HATI TIKUS WISTAR (RATTUS NORVEGICUS) YANG DIINDUKSI MINUMAN BERALKOHOL CAP TIKUS

Penggunaan obat-obatan kortikosteroid dalam manajemen Alcoholic liver disease (ALD) memiliki efek samping yang serius. Daun cengkih (Syzygium aromaticum) mengandung senyawa fenolik dan eugenol yang tinggi yang berpotensi terhadap aktivitas antioksidan dapat melindungi jaringan parenkim hati dari kerusakan oksidatif akibat konsumsi minuman beralkohol. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh pemberian ekstrak daun cengkih terhadap gambaran histopatologik hati tikus wistar yang diinduksi minuman beralkohol cap tikus. Penelitian eksperimental ini menggunakan rancangan post test only control group design yang melibatkan subjek 27 ekor tikus wistar jantan yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok. Kelompok normal hanya diberi pakan standar AD2 dan aquadest, kelompok kontrol negatif diinduksi minuman beralkohol cap tikus 2,16 ml/hari, kelompok perlakuan diberikan ekstrak daun cengkih 100mg/kgBB kemudian dilanjutkan induksi minuman beralkohol cap tikus 2,16 ml/hari. Setelah itu hewan coba semuanya diterminasi pada hari kelima belas. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan patologis jaringan parenkim hati berupa pembengkakkan sel, steatosis, nekrosis sel, dan infiltrasi sel radang pada tikus-tikus yang diinduksi cap tikus, baik yang diberi maupun yang tidak diberi ekstrak daun cengkih. Gambaran histopatologik hati tikus wistar tampak mirip pada kedua kelompok tersebut dan analisis statistik dengan uji Post hoc Dunn-Bonferroni mengindikasikan tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan (p value = 1000). Sebagai kesimpulan, pemberian ekstrak daun cengkih (Syzygium aromaticum) tidak berpengaruh secara signifikan (p value = 1,000) terhadap gambaran histopatologik hati tikus wistar yang diinduksi minuman beralkohol cap tikus.References
