ANALISIS PROFIL MEMORI ANGKA ANAK DOWN SYNDROME

Down syndrome merupakan kelainan genetik trisomi 21 yang dapat mempengaruhi kemampuan serta perkembangan menjadi lebih terlambat dibandingkan dengan anak-anak seusianya, terkhusus pada mengingat angka. Anak down syndrome menampakkan kesulitan dalam mengingat rentang angka disebabkan oleh rendahnya kapasitas working memory yang dimilikinya. Oleh karena itu, pentingnya peranan working memory dalam kehidupan sehari-hari maka diperlukan analisis rentang digit anak down syndrome untuk mengetahui profil kemampuan mengingat pada down syndrome. Penelitian ini dilakukan bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran rentang digit maju dan digit mundur pada down syndrome serta bagaimana hubunganannya dengan faktor sosio-demografi. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuantitatif menggunakan desain deskriptif serta pendekatan cross-sectional. Jumlah responden sebanyak 33 anak yang didapat menggunakan teknik total sampling. Instrumen penelitian menunggunakan “Formulir Pemeriksaan Memori Angka” dan dilakukan analisis statistik deskriptif serta analisis bivariat. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa anak down syndrome rata-rata mampu mengingat 2 digit untuk deret maju dan memiliki keterbatasan dalam mengingat digit mundur. Hasil uji bivariat menyebutkan bahwa nilai signifikansi p 0.000 dimana nilai p < 0.05 yang artinya terdapat hubungan yang signifikan antara usia dengan rentang digit. Namun tidak terdapat perbedaan pada faktor sosio-demografi lainnya seperti jenis kelamin, dan status terapi terhadap skor rentang digit. Secara garis besar down syndrome hanya mampu mengingat digit maju dengan skor 2 dan digit mundur dengan skor 0.References
