PATHOPHYSIOLOGY, DIAGNOSIS, AND TREATMENT APPROACHES IN MYASTHENIA CRISIS : A LITERATURE REVIEW

Myasthenia Gravis (MG) adalah penyakit autoimun yang mempengaruhi sambungan neuromuskular, menyebabkan kelemahan otot yang semakin parah sepanjang hari. Salah satu komplikasi utama adalah Krisis Miastenik (MC), yang melibatkan kelemahan otot pernapasan yang parah yang dapat menyebabkan kegagalan pernapasan, sering kali memerlukan ventilasi mekanis atau intubasi. MC terjadi pada 15-20% pasien MG, dengan risiko lebih tinggi pada orang berusia 60-70 tahun. Infeksi saluran pernapasan sering kali memicu MC, yang biasanya terjadi dalam waktu 8-12 bulan setelah onset MG. Risiko MC lebih tinggi pada perempuan, terutama selama kehamilan, di mana risikonya meningkat sebesar 15%. MC adalah keadaan darurat yang umum dalam perawatan kesehatan, sehingga pengetahuan tentang manajemen dan pengobatan yang tepat sangat penting bagi para profesional kesehatan.References
