PERBANDINGAN KADAR SERUM KREATININ DENGAN LAMA MENDERITA PENYAKIT PADA PASIEN DIABETES MELITUS

Diabetes melitus (DM) merupakan keadaan hiperglikemia kronik yang terjadi karena pankreas tidak mampu atau tidak optimal memproduksi insulin, atau tubuh tidak dapat menggunakan insulin secara efektif/ resistensi insulin. Kondisi hiperglikemik dapat menyebabkan pembentukan aterosklerosis yang menyebabkan penyempitan lumen pembuluh darah dan penurunan kecepatan aliran darah sehingga mengakibatkan berkurangnya suplai darah ke ginjal. Hal ini mengakibatkan terganggunya proses filtrasi glomerulus dan penurunan fungsi ginjal. Prevelensi penyakit ginjal dapat meningkat sejalan dengan lama menderita penyakit diabetes. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui perbandingan kadar serum kreatinin pada pasien diabetes melitus dengan lama menderita < 5 tahun dan lama menderita > 5 tahun. Jenis penelitian ini bersifat analitik cross sectional. Penelitian dilaksanakan di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Nania. Jumlah Sampel sebanyak 30 pasien. Data dikumpulkan dari data lapangan dan hasil pemeriksaan Laboratorium. Data dianalisis menggunakan Uji Chi Square Test. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa total pasien dengan kadar kreatinin normal yaitu 20 pasien (66,7%) dan kadar kreatinin tidak normal yaitu 10 pasien (33,3%). Pasien dengan kadar kreatinin normal pada kelompok lama menderita < 5 tahun yaitu 16 pasien (72,7%) dan pada kelompok lama menderita 5 tahun yaitu 4 pasien (50,0%). Sedangkan kadar kreatinin tidak normal kelompok lama menderita < 5 tahun yaitu 6 pasien (27,3%) dan kelompok lama menderita 5 tahun yaitu 4 pasien (50,0%). Tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan secara statistik pada kadar serum kreatinin diantara dua kelompok (p = 0,230).References
