PLYOMETRIC TRAINING DAPAT MENINGKATKAN KONTROL KESEIMBANGAN PADA FUNCTIONAL ANKLE INSTABILITY

Abstract

Functional ankle instability sebagai ketidakstabilan pergelangan kaki yang terjadi secara berulang dan menggambarkan kondisi pergelangan kaki yang tidak stabil, serta mengalami keterbatasan fungsional karena adanya penurunan proses proprioseptif, penurunan fungsi neuromuskular, dan penurunan kemampuan kontrol postural. Dalam mengatasi gangguan tersebut salah satu tindakan yang dapat diberikan untuk mengatasi kondisi functional ankle instability yaitu berupa plyometric training. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui apakah ada pengaruh plyometric training terhadap kontrol keseimbangan pada functional ankle instability. Metode: Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan one group pretest and posttest with control design. Subjek penelitian ini merupakan atlet dari komunitas Taekwondo Kertajaya yang telah memenuhi kriteria inklusi dan ekslusi sebanyak 20 orang atlet dengan rentang usia 9 hingga 15 tahun. Subjek diberikan perlakuan sebanyak 16 kali pertemuan selama 6 minggu yang dimulai pada bulan April hingga Juli 2023. Alat ukur yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner Cumberland Ankle Instability Tool Youth. Hasil: uji hipotesis dengan menggunakan paired sample t test pada Kelompok I dan II keduanya didapatkan hasil p = 0,000 atau p < 0,05 yang bermakna terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kontrol keseimbangan pada functional ankle stability, sedangkan uji beda kelompok I dan II dengan menggunakan independent sample t test didapatkan hasil p = 0,047 atau p < 0,05 yang bermakna terdapat perbedaan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap kontrol keseimbangan pada functional ankle stability. Kesimpulan: Ada pengaruh plyometric training terhadap peningkatan kontrol keseimbangan pada functional ankle stability.
