PENGARUH BIMODAL STIMULASI SENSORI TERHADAP NILAI GCS PADA PASIEN STROKE DENGAN PENURUNAN KESADARAN

Penurunan fungsi sensorik merupakan efek yang merugikan yang terjadi pada pasien stroke yang mengalami penurunan kesadaran, 70% pasien yang menderita stroke mengalami penurun kesadaran. Penurunan kesadaran merupakan akibat yang terjadi jika rangsang sensorik spesifik pada forebrain dihentikan atau terputus sehingga akan mempengarui ascendence retricular activating system (ARAS). Salah satu penyebab terhenti atau terputusnya sensorik spesifik adalah serangan stroke. Stimulasi sensorik merupakan salah satu tindakan keperawatan yang bisa dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kesadaran pasien. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengindentifikasi pengaruh bimodal stimulasi sensorik terhadap nilai GCS pada pasien stroke dengan penurunan kesadaran. Desain penelitian ini adalah Quasi Experiment with Pretest-posttest control group. Sampel pada kelompok kontrol dan intervensi diambil dengan metode Non Probality Sampling Secara Conscecutive Sampling dengan jumlah 44 responden, kelompok intervensi (n: 22) dan kelompok kontrol (n:22). Kelompok intervensi diberikan bimodal stimulasi sensori (auditory dan gustatory) sebanyak 5 kali sehari dengan durasi 10 menit setiap sesi dan dilakukan selama 3 hari. Kelompok kontrol mendapatkan perawatan rutinitas dari rumah sakit tanpa diberikan intervensi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan peningkatan yang signifikan pada nilai GCS post test pada kelompok intervensi yaitu dari nilai 9,5 menjadi 13,5 dengan p value = 0,001 dan untuk kelompok kontrol tidak terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan yaitu dari 10,09 menjadi 10,54 dengan p value = 0,85. Kesimpulan penelitian ini adalah bimodal stimulasi sensori adalah tindakan keperawatan yang dapat meningkatkan nilai GCS pasien stroke dengan penurunan kesadaran.References
