Abstract

Iron deficiency anemia is anemia caused by lack of iron in the food, impaired absorption, loss of iron that comes out of the body causing bleeding. The need for iron increases in pregnancy, especially in the last trimester. If the entry of iron does not increase, it is easy to develop iron deficiency anemia, especially in amused pregnancy. This study was to determine the differences in the effectiveness of Giving Fe Tablets and Vitamin C with Fe Tablets and Guava Fruit Juice on Increasing Hemoglobin Levels in Second Trimester Pregnant Women at Elpida Clinic District. Tanjung Tiram Regency. Coal in 2020. This type of research is a Quasy Experiment with a Two Group Pretest-Posttest research design, using the Purposive Sampling technique with the Federer formula with a sample size of 16 pregnant women. In this study, there was an increase in hemoglobin levels that were different in the two groups that were given different treatments. Fe tablets and guava fruit juice can increase hemoglobin levels higher and faster (0.82%) sig = 0.003 <0.05 while Fe tablets and vitamin C (0.27%) sig = 0.022 <0.05.So based on the results of the Paired T Test with the Anova test it is known that the average difference in hemoglobin levels between the 2 intervention groups shows insignificant resultsfor 1 week (Sig = 0.284> 0.05) means that H0 is accepted Ha is rejected, the results are not significant, meaning that there are differences in hemoglobin levels, but not significant between the two groups of respondents.
