Abstract

Giving honey can be used in cancer patients because honey acts as an immunomodulator which can increase the body's immune system against disease infections, fight free radicals and increase the number of lymphocytes. The aim of the research was to determine nursing care for Mrs. Y with Ca Mamae by administering honey to increase lymphocyte levels during chemotherapy in the Dahlia room at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Pekanbaru City. The research was conducted on June 1, 2023, starting from the assessment, data analysis, diagnosis, intervention, implementation and evaluation stages. Nursing implementation was carried out for 3 days. The research results were obtained after giving honey to Mrs. Y for 3 days. Laboratory results increased lymphocyte levels, improved appetite, reduced nausea during chemotherapy and lymphocyte levels from 19.9% ??increased to 37.0%. The conclusion is that there is an effect of giving honey on increasing lymphocyte levels in Mrs. Y with Ca Mamae who underwent chemotherapy in the Dahlia room at Arifin Achmad Hospital, Pekanbaru City. It is hoped that clients can use honey when undergoing chemotherapy to increase lymphocyte levels and stabilize the immune system.
