An Analysis Of Figurative Language Used In Novo Amor’s Song Lyrics

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengidentifikasi jenis-jenis majas (hiperbola, metafora, simbol, sinekdoke, paradoks, personifikasi, simile, ironi) dan menjelaskan makna majas yang digunakan dalam lirik lagu Novo Amor. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode analisis deskriptif kualitatif. Data penelitian diambil dari lagu Novo Amor yang masuk dalam album “Birthplace”: Emigrate, Utican, Anniversary, State Lines, Birthplace, Seneca, Sleepless, Repeat Hingga Death, Oh Round Lake. Teori majas yang digunakan dari X.J Kennedy, penulis melakukan observasi dengan mengamati lirik lagu Novo Amor dan mengambil kalimat yang mengandung majas. Dari hasil analisis, penulis menemukan bahwa majas yang digunakan dalam lagu-lagu Novo Amor sangat beragam. Ada 63 hiperbola 31 (49%), metafora 5 (7,9%), simbol 15 (23,8%), sinekdok 3 (4,7%), paradoks 6 (9,5%), personifikasi 1 (1,5%) ), simile 1 (1,5). %), ironi 1 (1,5%). Jenis majas yang paling dominan ditemukan dalam lagu Novo Amor adalah hiperbola 31 (49%).Downloads
