Tanaman herbal fitomedisin diyakini memiliki banyak manfaat dibandingkan obat konvensional dan mendapatkan kembali minat dalam penelitian saat ini. Moringa oleifera adalah tanaman herbal serbaguna yang digunakan sebagai makanan manusia dan alternatif untuk tujuan pengobatan di seluruh dunia. Telah diidentifikasi oleh para peneliti sebagai tanaman dengan banyak manfaat kesehatan termasuk manfaat nutrisi dan obat. Moringa oleifera mengandung asam amino esensial, karotenoid dalam daun, dan komponen dengan sifat nutraceutical, mendukung gagasan untuk menggunakan tanaman ini sebagai suplemen nutrisi atau konstituen dalam persiapan makanan. Beberapa evaluasi nutrisi telah dilakukan pada daun dan batang. Faktor penting yang menjelaskan penggunaan obat dari Moringa oleifera adalah berbagai antioksidan penting, antibiotik dan nutrisi termasuk vitamin dan mineral. Hampir semua bagian dari kelor dapat dimanfaatkan sebagai sumber nutrisi dengan nilai manfaat lainnya.References
