PERBEDAAN EFEKTIVITAS PEMBERIAN ISCHAEMIC COMPRESSION DAN MUSCLE ENERGY TECHNIQUE TERHADAP PENURUNAN NYERI MYOFASCIAL TRIGGER POINTS SYNDROME PADA OTOT UPPER TRAPEZIUS

Penjahit merupakan pekerjaan yang bergerak pada bidang industri yang dilakukan secara individu maupun sebagai pekerja industri di sebuah pabrik konveksi. Myofascial pain syndrome dapat disebabkan oleh kerja otot yang berlebihan dan terus menerus akan menimbulkan kontraksi yang membuat otot menjadi tegang yang dapat memicu timbulnya trigger point. Muscle energy technique adalah salah satu metode soft tissue mobilization yang dengan menggunakan kontraksi isometrik, Ischemic compression adalah teknik penekanan yang dilakukan secara terus menerus atau berkelanjutan pada trigger point. Tujuan untuk mengetahui efek ischaemic compression dan muscle energy technique terhadap penurunan nyeri myofascial trigger points syndrome pada otot upper trapezius. Metode menggunakan Two groups pre-test and post-test design. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 30 pekerja garment dengan jenis kelamin perempuan yang dibagi menjadi 2 kelompok secara acak. Kelompok I (n=15) diberikan Muscle energy technique dan kelompok II (n=15) diberikan Ischemic compression. Alat ukur menggunakan Quadruple Visual Analogue Scale (QVAS) untuk mengukur nyeri. Hasil Uji beda pre-test dan post-test menggunakan uji Wilcoxon, kelompok I diperoleh nilai p = 0,001 (p<0,05), kelompok II diperoleh nilai p = 0,000 (p<0,05). Uji beda post-test antara kelompok I dan II diperoleh nilai p = 0,095 yang berarti p > 0,05 sehingga hal ini berarti tidak ada perbedaan pengaruh yang bermakna. Uji beda selisih mean kelompok I diperoleh hasil 20,00 (dari 58,67 menjadi 38,67) dan kelompok II diperoleh 24,00 (dari 58,00 menjadi 34,00). Kesimpulan: Ada perbedaan pengaruh antara ischaemic compression dan muscle energy technique terhadap penurunan nyeri myofascial trigger points syndrome pada otot upper trapezius.References
