HUBUNGAN AKTIVITAS FISIK TERHADAP PRESTASI AKADEMIK PADA MAHASISWA FK UNTAR ANGKATAN 2022/2023

Aktivitas fisik merupakan faktor penting dalam kesehatan dan kesejahteraan mahasiswa, serta dapat mempengaruhi prestasi akademik mereka. Tujuan penelitian ini ialah mengeksplorasi hubungan antara aktivitas fisik dan prestasi akademik di kalangan mahasiswa. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap 234 Mahasiswa FK Untar Angkatan 2022 dan 2023, dengan mengumpulkan data tentang tingkat aktivitas fisik, seperti jenis dan durasi aktivitas yang dilakukan, serta pencapaian akademik tiap mahasiswa dalam bentuk nilai IPK (Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif). Penelitian dilaksanakan secara analitik observasional dengan desain potong lintang (cross sectional). Hasil analisis data menunjukkan prestasi akademik siswa dan tingkat aktivitas fisik tidak berkorelasi secara signifikan dengan nilai p < 0,402 dan ditemukan bahwa orang yang beraktivitas fisik 1,186 kali mempunyai prestasi akademik lebih baik. IPK siswa yang lebih banyak melakukan aktivitas fisik tidak selalu lebih tinggi dibandingkan siswa yang lebih sedikit melakukan aktivitas fisik. Pentingnya integrasi aktivitas fisik dalam rutinitas harian mahasiswa ditekankan sebagai bagian dari strategi pendidikan holistik untuk meningkatkan tidak hanya kinerja akademik mereka, tetapi juga kesehatan mereka. Hal ini dapat membantu banyak hal positif dalam mempromosikan gaya hidup sehat di kalangan mahasiswa.References
