PERILAKU PENCEGAHAN MALARIA DI WILAYAH ENDEMIS MALARIA : LITERATURE REVIEW

Penyakit malaria tetap menjadi tantangan kesehatan global, khususnya Indonesia dengan jumlah kasus dan kematian yang signifikan setiap tahun. Studi sebelumnya menunjukkan bahwa pengetahuan masyarakat tentang malaria masih perlu ditingkatkan, sementara perilaku pencegahan masih rendah, terutama di daerah pedesaan dan daerah dengan risiko tinggi malaria. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengumpulkan informasi yang relevan dari studi-studi sebelumnya untuk memahami pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku yang diambil oleh masyarakat untuk mencegah penyakit malaria di daerahnya yang terkena endemis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode literature review untuk menganalisis pengetahuan dan perilaku terkait pencegahan penyakit malaria melalui jurnal yang diterbitkan secara elektronik. Populasi naskah yang diambil meliputi materi yang membahas pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku terkait penyakit malaria dan telah diterbitkan dalam jurnal penelitian. Sampel terdiri dari jurnal - jurnal yang dipilih berdasarkan substansi dari naskah, tanpa mempertimbangkan penulis atau terbitan jurnal. Kriteria inklusi pada penelitian ini melibatkan pemilihan substansi yang berfokus pada perilaku terkait penyakit malaria, seperti pengetahuan, sikap, dan perilaku pencegahan. Hasil penelitian yaitu faktor-faktor seperti minimnya sumber daya dan kesadaran akan risiko penyakit berkontribusi pada kesulitan dalam pengendalian malaria. Pengetahuan tentang gejala, penularan, dan pencegahan malaria menjadi kunci dalam upaya pencegahan, sementara penggunaan kelambu berinsektisida dianggap efektif namun masih menghadapi tantangan dalam penerimaan masyarakat. Untuk mengatasi masalah ini, diperlukan pendekatan holistik yang melibatkan berbagai sektor dan pemangku kepentingan, serta upaya meningkatkan kesadaran dan penerimaan masyarakat terhadap strategi pencegahan malaria, seperti penggunaan kelambu berinsektisida.References
