HUBUNGAN EFIKASI DIRI DAN KETIDAKBERDAYAAN DENGAN TINGKAT STRESS PADA MAHASISWA KESEHATAN MASYARAKAT

Mahasiswa sebagai peserta didik di perguruan tinggi dituntut untuk secara mandiri aktif dalam mempelajari keilmuannya. Pada fase ini, remaja menghadapi tantangan baru dan pengalaman baru yang mungkin meningkatkan risiko untuk mengalami masalah kesehatan mental. Peralihan siswa dari tingkat sekolah menengah ke perguruan tinggi ini secara inheren membuat stres bagi mahasiswa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan efikasi diri dan ketidakberdayaan dengan tingkat stress pada mahasiswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional yang dilaksanakan pada bulan November 2022. Data dikumpulkan menggunakan kuesioner dengan instrument perceived stress scale-10 dengan sampel berjumlah 141 orang. Analisis data menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar mahasiswa mengalami stress sedang. Hasil bivariat menunjukkan bahwa perasaan ketidakberdayaan secara signifikan berhubungan dengan tingkat stress yang dialami mahasiswa. Sementara efikasi diri tidak berhubungan dengan tingkat stress mahasiswa. Pada penelitian ini, variabel yang diteliti hanya berdasarkan efikasi diri dan ketidakberdayaan. Sementara, mahasiswa tahun pertama memiliki tantangan yang berat lainnya seperti adaptasi dengan lingkungan baru. Olehnya itu, hasil yang diperoleh hanya menyarankan peningkatan kepercayaan diri mahasiswa dalam menghadapi segala tantangan di dunia kampus sehingga dapat menjalani perkuliahan dengan baik. Diharapkan kampus dan dosen dapat membantu mahasiswa dalam rangka meningkatkan kepercayaan diri. Di samping itu, dukungan teman sebaya juga penting dalam membantu mahasiswa untuk mengatasi stress.References
