PENGARUH PEMBERIAN PROBIOTIK TERHADAP OUTCOME FUNGSIONAL PADA PENDERITA STROKE ISKEMIK AKUT

Abstract

Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui pengaruh peberian probiotik terhadap outcome fungsional pada penderita stroke iskemik angkut.  Penelitian ini adalah pre-test post-test control group design. Sampel penelitian sebanyak 18 penderita stroke iskemik akut yang dikelompokkan menjadi kelompok probiotik 10 orang dan kelompok kontrol 8 orang. Kedua kelompok mendapat terapi standar stroke dan untuk kelompok probiotik diberikan probiotik selama 7 hari. Penilaian outcome fungsional melalui skoring NIHSS yang dilakukan hari ke-1 penderita di rumah sakit dan hari terakhir perlakuan. Rerata skor NIHSS kelompok perlakuan adalah 6,40 ± 2,836 saat pre-test dan 3,30 ± 2,791 saat post-test dengan selisih rerata 3,10 ± 1,449. Rerata skor NIHSS kelompok kontrol adalah 11,25 ± 7,517 saat pre-test dan 10,00 ± 6,866 saat post-test dengan selisih rerata 1,25 ± 1,753. Perbandingan selisih pre-post antara kelompok probiotik dan kontrol menunjukkan perbedaan yang signifikan (p=0,020, p<0,05). Berdasarkan penelitian dan uji statistik yang telah dilakukan maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa pemberian probiotik memiliki pengaruh terhadap skor NIHSS penderita stroke iskemik akut.
