HUBUNGAN KONSUMSI OBAT DIABETES DENGAN PENYAKIT JANTUNG KORONER

Diabetes melitus merupakan salah satu penyakit yang dapat menimbulkan komplikasi yang berakibat munculnya penyakit lainnya. Penyakit kardiovaskuler merupakan penyakit dengan kejadian tertinggi yang menjadi komplikasi pada penderita diabetes melitus dan penyakit jantung koroner merupakan yang paling tinggi . Beberapa jenis obat diabetes memiliki efek kardioprotektif yang dapat mencegah timbulnya penyakit jantung koroner pada diabetesi. Hubungan antara konsumsi obat diabetes melitus masih belum banyak dijelaskan dalam beberapa penelitian sebelumnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan konsumsi obat diabetes dengan penyakit jantung koroner. Penelitian analitik kuantitatif dengan desain cross-sectional menggunakan data Indonesian Family Life Survey dengan jumlah sampel sebanyal 6.676 responden berusia >19 tahun yang diambil dari keseluruhan responden Indonesian Family Life Suervey sebagai populasi penelitian. Variabel independen dari penelitian ini adalah konsumsi obat diabetes, sedangkan variabel dependen dalam penelitian ini adalah penyakit jantung koroner. Hubungan antara variabel dependen dan independen diketahui dengan analisis statistik uji Chi-Square menggunakan software SPSS. Konsumsi obat diabetes memiliki hubungan bermakna dengan penyakit jantung koroner (p <0,001, OR = 2,37) yang menunjukkan bahwa penderita diabetes melitus yang mengonsumsi obat diabetes akan mengalami penyakit jantung koroner 2,37 kali dari penderita diabetes melitus yang tidak mengonsumsi obat diabetes Konsumsi obat diabetes berhubungan dengan penyakit jantung koroner.References
