EFEK EKSTRAK ETANOL DAUN LEILEM (CLERODENDRUM MINAHASSAE) TERHADAP KADAR GLUKOS DARAH TIKUS PUTIH JANTAN

Diabetes melitus merupakan penyakit kronis global dengan total penderita yang melebihi 500 juta jiwa. Daun leilem adalah tanaman endemik Sulawesi Utara yang berasal dari genus Clerodendrum yang diyakini memiliki potensi antidiabetes. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui efek ekstrak etanol daun leilem terhadap kadar glukosa darah dan berat badan tikus putih jantan. Ekstraksi daun leilem menggunakan metode maserasi dengan pelarut etanol 96%. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode pretest posttest control group design dengan 5 kelompok, yaitu kelompok I kontrol positif metformin, kelompok II kontrol negatif Na-CMC 0,5 %, kelompok III, IV, dan V adalah ekstrak dosis 100, 200, dan 400 mg/kgBB. Semua kelompok diinduksi dengan aloksan sebanyak 120 mg/kgBB. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa ekstrak daun leilem memiliki pengaruh bermakna (Asymp. Sig. (2-tailed) 0,001) terhadap kadar glukosa darah tikus dengan presentase terbaik pada kelompok V dosis ekstrak 400 mg/kgBB dan tidak memiliki pengaruh signifikan terhadap berat badan.References
