HUBUNGAN MEDIA SOSIAL DENGAN PRESTASI BELAJAR MAHASISWA FAKULTAS KEDOKTERAN UNIVERSITAS TARUMANAGARA ANGKATAN 2020

Mahasiswa merupakan salah satu pengguna sosial media. Prestasi belajar merupakan hal yang sangat penting bagi mahasiswa karena dapat menjadi dasar untuk mendapatkan karir yang bagus di masa depan. Penelitian-penelitian mengenai hubungan media sosial dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa masih memiliki hasil yang berbeda-beda, ada penelitian yang menyatakan media sosial memiliki pengaruh positif, negatif, maupun tidak berpengaruh sama sekali. Penelitian ini bertujuan menganalisis hubungan antara media sosial dengan prestasi belajar mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara agar mahasiswa dapat mengantisipasi faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap prestasi belajarnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan desain analitik observasional dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Subyek penelitian sebanyak 144 orang dengan metode consecutive sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa durasi sosial media dan IPK menggunakan kuesioner yang disebarkan secara daring. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan uji Chi-Square. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan 101 orang (70,1%) mahasiswa menggunakan sosial media dengan durasi lebih dari 4 jam per hari sedangkan 43 orang (29,9%) dengan durasi kurang dari 4 jam per hari. Mahasiswa FK Untar angkatan 2020 paling banyak memiliki IPK ?2,75 yaitu sebanyak 120 orang (83,3%), sedangkan yang memiliki IPK <2,75 sebanyak 24 orang (16,7%). Tidak terdapat hubungan antara durasi sosial media dengan IPK Mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran Universitas Tarumanagara angkatan 2020 (p=0,569). Hal ini menunjukkan durasi sosial media tidak berpengaruh terhadap IPK.References
