Based on data from the World Health Organization (WHO), 830 women died because many mothers gave birth at home and were assisted by traditional birth attendants (non-health workers). . One of the factors that influence mothers to choose a place of delivery and the personnel who assist in childbirth are difficult transportation conditions, culture and traditions, such as the existence of community culture using special traditional birth attendants to assist difficult deliveries. The impact of the large number of births using traditional birth attendants in South Lampung Regency has resulted in a high maternal mortality rate (MMR). P4K program efforts have been started around 2010 through the installation of birth stickers in all pregnant women's homes. However, until now the goal to reduce the MMR as stated in the millennium Development Goals (MDGs) by 102 per 100,000 live births in 2015 has not been achieved.(Kamidah, 2018) The research method used is a comparative non-experimental research design. The statistical test used was the Wilcoxon test. Through data analysis with statistical tests using the Wilcoxon test with 20 pregnant women, the research results obtained a mean value of 3.13. Furthermore, the value after being given counseling from 20 respondents obtained the mean value of 3.23. It can be concluded that there is a difference in knowledge before and after being given counseling about P4K with the results of the Wilcoxon test getting p-value = 0.000 <0.005, so it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between before being given counseling and after being given counselingReferences
