Asphyxia is a condition in which newborn babies experience failure to breathe spontaneously and regularly immediately after birth. The impacts of asphyxia include brain damage, hypoxic ischemic encephalopathy, acute kidney failure, respiratory distress, heart failure, entericolitis, necrotizing. Apart from causing infant death, the long-term impacts experienced by children can result in neurological disorders from mental retardation, systemic disorders. central nervous system, heart, kidneys, gastrointestinal tract, liver, blood and lungs. The impact on the mother is psychological disorders such as stress, anxiety and depression due to worries about her baby. The aim of this research is to determine the relationship between prematurity and the incidence of neonatal asphyxia at the Fatiha Clinic in 2022. This research design uses quantitative research methods with a case control approach. Case samples were taken using total sampling technique and control samples used systematic random sampling. The research was carried out at the Fatiha Clinic. The case population in this study was 33 newborns who experienced neonatal asphyxia, while the control population was 141 newborns who did not experience neonatal asphyxia. The research uses a secondary data checklist sheet. Univariate and Bivariate data analysis using the Chi-Squere test. These results show that there is a relationship between prematurity and the incidence of neonatal asphyxia, with a p value of 0.001 < 0.05. For this reason, the clinic can minimize the incidence of baby asphyxia and can improve health services even better by providing counseling to pregnant women to prevent asphyxia in newborn babies.
2024-05-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Evidence Midwifery Journal http://journal.universitaspahlawan.ac.id/index.php/evidence/article/view/25943 Faktor–Faktor Yang Menyebabkan Terjadinya Hipertensi Pada Ibu Hamil Di RSIA Husada Bunda 2024-05-23T16:16:10+00:00 Nurul Afifah [email protected] Amir Luthfi [email protected] Fitri Apriyanti [email protected]
Hypertension for pregnant women (gestational) is the cause of 10-15% of complications in pregnancy and is part of the triad of complications besides bleeding and infection. The aim of the research is to find out the factors that cause high blood pressure in pregnant women at RSIA Husada Bunda in 2022. This type of research is quantitative research with a case control design. The number of respondents in this research was 47 cases (pregnant women with high blood pressure) and 47 controls (normal pregnant women without high blood pressure) using random sampling techniques. Data collection uses a checklist sheet. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 49 respondents (52.1%) had normal nutritional status, 49 respondents (52.1%) had parity that was not at risk, as many as 58 respondents (61.7%) had jobs that were not at risk, and as many as 47 respondents (50.0%) had high blood pressure. As such, moms need to be aware of and comprehend the dietary requirements of their toddlers. The purpose of this study is to examine how women in Tanjung Harapan village, the UPT Puskesmas Fold Kain's operational region in 2023, describe their understanding of the importance of a balanced diet in preventing toddler stunting. This study employed a quantitative descriptive research design. 49 respondents made up the entire sample for this study, which was selected using the total sampling technique. A questionnaire with univariate analysis displayed in a frequency distribution is used as the data gathering instrument. According to the research's findings, mothers' understanding of the benefits of toddlers' nutritional needs is in the good category for 49 (100%) respondents, and mothers' understanding of the concept of balanced nutrition is in the good category for 41 (83.67%) respondents. 32 (65.31%) of the respondents who are under five fall into the good category. Similarly, 47 (95.92%) of the respondents describe their mothers' knowledge of food processing; 48 (97.95%) describe mothers' knowledge of factors that influence toddlers' nutritional status; and 30 (61.22%) describe mothers' knowledge of balanced nutrition. It is hoped that mothers in the UPT Puskesmas Folding Cloth work area can apply knowledge about balanced nutrition in order to prevent stunting so that the number of stunting incidents is reduced.
2024-05-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Evidence Midwifery Journal http://journal.universitaspahlawan.ac.id/index.php/evidence/article/view/26443 Hubungan Preeklampsia dan Anemia pada Ibu Hamil dengan Kejadian Berat Badan Lahir Rendah di RSUD Bangkinang 2024-05-25T08:45:36+00:00 Ayu Dahlia Warningsih [email protected] Syukrianti Syahda [email protected] Dewi Anggriani Harahap [email protected]
One of the causes of infant death is due to Low Birth Weight (BBLR). WHO defines babies with a birth weight of less than 2500 grams as low weight, where this condition is at risk of neonatal, post-natal death and higher morbidity than babies born with normal weight. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between preeclampsia and anemia in pregnant women with the incidence of Low Birth Weight at Bangkinang Hospital in 2023. This type of research is quantitative research using a retrospective case control approach research design. The population in this study is all newborn data in 2022 as many as 474 babies. The sample in this study used a ratio of 1: 1, namely 62 with case samples (infants who experienced low birthweight) and 62 with control samples (infants who did not experience low birthweight). The results of the study found that there was a relationship between preeclampsia in pregnant women with the incidence of low weight with p value (0.003) and there was a relationship between anemia in pregnant women and the incidence of low weight with p value (0.004). It is hoped that mothers can prepare themselves better to prevent low birth weight by maintaining good nutrition during pregnancy and checking pregnancy regularly with health workers as a form of introspection. Health workers should be able to improve public education and health checks such as Hb and maternal blood pressure so that mothers can better maintain their pregnancies to anticipate low birth weight events.
2024-05-25T00:00:00+00:00 Copyright (c) 2024 Evidence Midwifery Journal http://journal.universitaspahlawan.ac.id/index.php/evidence/article/view/26556 HUBUNGAN PENGETAHUAN DENGAN KEJADIAN KEKURANGAN ENERGI KRONIS (KEK) PADA IBU HAMIL DI WILAYAH KERJA PUSKESMAS AIR TIRIS KABUPATEN KAMPAR TAHUN 2023 2024-05-25T09:23:38+00:00 ummi kalsum [email protected] Dewi Anggriani Harahap [email protected] syukrianti syahda [email protected]
Chronic Energy Deficiency (KEK) is one of the nutritional problems experienced by pregnant women. Pregnant women with CED will have negative effects both on themselves and the fetus they are carrying. In 2020, reported that the prevalence of CED in global pregnancies was 35-75%, WHO also recorded that 40% of maternal deaths in developing countries were related to CED with the highest prevalence. Risk factors for mothers experiencing CED during pregnancy are risks and complications for the mother, including anemia, bleeding, not gaining weight normally, infectious diseases. This research aims to determine knowledge about the incidence of CED in pregnant women in the Air Tiris Health Center Work Area in 2023. This type of research is quantitative research using an analytical survey method with a cross sectional approach. The population in this study was all pregnant women at the Air Tiris Health Center in 2023, totaling 723 people using a random sampling technique of 257 people. Data collection uses a master table. The data analysis used was univariate and bivariate analysis with the Chi Square test. The results of the univariate analysis showed that 111 (42.7%) mothers had less knowledge. One of the causes of high infant mortality rates is low birth weight (LBW). Low Birth Weight (LBW) is a low birth weight baby born with a body weight of less than 2500 grams. LBW is a health problem that needs to be treated seriously because LBW contributes to neonatal death. Babies with low birth weight are 20 times more likely to die than normal babies.
