Concrete brick mixture is a combination of the composition of the constituent materials. The characteristics and properties of the material will affect the design result. If it is associated with the development of the times which also results in an increase in waste, in addition to reducing environmental pollution, it can also be used as a mixture for making paving blocks. One of them is waste rice husks. Until now, rice is the main agricultural product in Indonesia. The method used in this study is testing materials at the Integrated Engineering Laboratory of Pahlawan Tuanku Tambusai University to find the effect of the value of adding rice husks as a mixture of making paving blocks on water absorption and compressive strength. Each of the variations used was 0%, 10% and 20%. The results showed that the 0% water absorption test had an average value of 11.46%, 10% had an average value of 16.14%, and 20% had an average value of 23.80%. And for the 0% compressive strength test at 28 days of age has an average value of 26.678 Kg/cm<sup>2</sup>, 10% has an average value of 33.137 Kg/cm<sup>2</sup>, and for 20% it has an average value of 16.007 Kg/cm<sup>2</sup>.</em></p> Ade Septiawan, Beny Setiawan Copyright (c) 2023 Wed, 26 Jul 2023 00:00:00 +0000 Analisis Pengaruh Penambahan Abu Cangkang Kelapa Sawit (Palm Kernel Shell) Terhadap Kuat Tekan Beton Normal <p><em>The current development of the construction industry in Indonesia has an impact on increasing the use of concrete as a building construction material. Various attempts have been carried out in research to obtain advances in concrete technology, i.e. the addition of admixture materials, one of the additives that can be used in the manufacture of concrete is palm kernel shell ash. In this study, palm kernel shell ash were used as an additive in normal concrete. This study meets the principles of environmentally friendly technology and is included in the direction of circular economy research. The type of research used in this study is laboratory material testing to find the effect and value of the addition of palm kernel shell ash on the density and compressive strength of normal concrete. The results showed that testing the specific gravity of normal concrete with the addition of palm kernel shell ash with variations of 0%, 1.5%, 3%, and 7% did not affect the specific gravity of normal concrete and had met the standard specific gravity of normal concrete that had been set. This is proven by the results of the specific gravity test which has the value of each variation of the addition of palm kernel shell ash ranging from 2265 Kg/m<sup>3</sup> – 2306 Kg/m<sup>3</sup> at each age of concrete. Due to the increase in population every year, it is hoped that the increase in the number of urban infrastructure developments can offset these changes. One of them is road construction. To facilitate this, the government must have a better road network management and handling system. One of the systems that can be used is the Development of a Geographic Information System (GIS) which is expected to be able to design and build a geographic information system regarding the distribution of Bangkinang District Environmental roads in order to present information in an integrated manner from data. The type of research used in this study is survey research with quantitative descriptive strategies, where research is more focused on revealing a problem or actual situation and revealing the facts at hand. The selection of data methods using GIS was chosen because of the ability of GIS programs that can answer the needs of efficient information systems, such as being able to store, analyze, present data both spatial data and attribute data (tables), being able to answer spatial questions (how long, how much and width) and finally can help the decision-making process quickly and precisely. This is evidenced by the results of research that has damage to road sections in Bangkinang District, precisely in Muara Uwai Village, Binuang Village and Island Village, the most hollow, with a length of 1436 m with a percentage of 3%, and has cracks with a length of 782 m with a percentage of 2%, while the destroyed road has a length of 765 m with a percentage of 2%. The danger of fire has now become a serious threat to users or residents of high-rise buildings, including school buildings, one of the school buildings in Bangkinang District is Pesantren Daarun Nahdhah Thawalib.&nbsp; In a boarding school environment, it requires good and comfortable building facilities to increase comfort during the learning process.&nbsp; Therefore, further research is needed to find out the condition of the fire safety system in the Daarun Nahdhah Thawalib Islamic Boarding School building and the level of reliability of the fire safety system.&nbsp; The methods carried out in the data collection stage are primary data and secondary data. Seiring dengan bertambahnya penduduk dan pertumbuhan wilayah serta serta untuk mewujudkan peningkatan kualitas prsarana jalan lingkungan, maka dibutuhkan adanya pengelolaan Jalan Lingkungan yang baik. Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini untuk menghasilkan peta jalan lingkungan di Kecamatan Bangkinang Kota Kabupaten Kampar Provinsi Riau. </em><em>Metode yang digunakan yaitu Bina Marga, Metode Bina Marga (BM) mengevaluasi tingkat kerusakan jalan dengan mengamati kekasaran permukaan, lubang, tambalan, retak, alur, dan amblas. Bangkinang Kota sub-district is a sub-district in Kampar Regency which includes areas where some areas are always flooded by rain. This is because the primary drainage channel is damaged and does not function effectively so that water overflows and creates puddles on the shoulders of the road and emits an unpleasant odor.The purpose of this study is to determine the existing drainage conditions. The research method used is a field survey and literature study where the data needed is drainage specification data, satellite imagery and boundaries, and the administration of Bangkinang Kota District. The results of this study are that the drainage channel in Bangkinang Kota District has 5 channels and 3 Petai River channels with different sizes in each channel but there is a lot of garbage, soil, and stones which result in silting of the channel so that it cannot drain water. Binuang Village is one of the villages in Kampar Regency, located in Bangkinang District. Some houses in Binuang Village still cannot be categorized as healthy houses because they are not in accordance with the standards of the Ministry of Health in 1999. Therefore, the author is interested in conducting this research in the hope of displacing the distribution of healthy houses in Binuang Village. The distribution map of the results of this study is also expected to be able to contribute to the Village Government as data for the Desa program in the future. &nbsp;Total 165 residential houses, data obtained by researchers as many as 136 houses. The assessment of healthy houses is based on a questionnaire from the Ministry of Health, with an assessment of 3 categories, namely home components, sanitation facilities, and behavior of house residents, with a weight of 1068. The use of fillers in a certain amount will have an effect, depending on the filler material used. However, the company can only produce the amount of filler material based on availability and is sometimes unable to meet demand. This study utilized Rice Husk Ash (RHA) as an alternative filler. The results of this study show that RHA as a filler has an influence on AC-BC pavement in terms of stability and flow values. The more RHA is added, the higher the stability, which is also accompanied by a high flow value.
