Analisis Pengaruh Limbah Keramik Sebagai Agregat Halus Alternatif Terhadap Bera Jenis dan Kuat Tekan Beton Normal
Abstract
Ceramics are widely used in construction to enhance the aesthetics of floors, offering benefits such as high strength, durability, and resistance to high temperatures and chemicals. However, during home renovations, ceramic demolition often occurs, leading to the generation of construction waste. To address this issue, extensive research has been conducted on the utilization of ceramic waste in concrete production as a means to reduce underutilized waste. This study employs laboratory material testing to investigate the effect of ceramic waste addition on the specific gravity and compressive strength of normal concrete. The primary objective is to evaluate the impact of using ceramic waste as an alternative fine aggregate on the slump, specific gravity, and compressive strength of normal concrete. The slump test results for 0%, 5%, and 10% variations remained within the planned values. Specific gravity tests at 28 days showed values of 2,376.32 kg/m³ and 2,370.47 kg/m³ for the 0% and 5% variations, respectively, while the 10% variation yielded 2,316.64 kg/m³, which did not meet the target fresh concrete weight of 2,345 kg/m³. Additionally, compressive strength tests at 7 and 28 days for all variations (0%, 5%, and 10%) failed to achieve the target strength of 18 MPa.Downloads
